I think this is a great idea! Kids love these prank things anyway but turn them into an easy craft that can truly be done independently & it's a hit. My 8 year old didn't require any assistance with this project (which is a first), she did it all by herself so she didn't bring anyone in on the prank (as Santa brought this for her). She had a great time doing it, I didn't have to worry about her destroying anything or hurting herself- it was all easy for her to handle.I thought the "polish" was going to harden but it seems a bit like slime, which I guess will inevitably dry out. I know the instructions said to let it stand 60-90 minutes but we had it on the countertop for an entire afternoon & it was still very pliable (luckily it didn't leave any stain on my countertop). Either way I just gathered it up into a ziploc for her to use later.
The grandchildren have taken turns getting their parents. good for a quick laugh (Once the parent finds out it's not real)
I didn't realize this was something you had to make. It seems pointless for a silly prank, but perhaps the children will enjoy it. I intended to use it as a stocking stuffer, but the packaging is way too big. it's headed for the Holiday prize bin!
